Pilates

Do you want to feel longer, stronger and more connected with your body? The Pilates method of conditioning is the perfect complement to your fitness regime and/or rehabilitation program. Pilates exercise is a safe and highly effective way to stretch, strengthen and streamline your body without stressing your joints. The benefits for both men and women include increased abdominal and back strength, improved posture and body mechanics, reduced joint and low back stress, increased flexibility and balanced joint positions with regards to strength and flexibility. With an emphasis on breath, core conditioning and body awareness, Pilates exercises will leave you looking toned, feeling revitalized and moving with ease.

I use the principles of Pilates in almost every Simply Get Fit program design. Sessions can be exclusively Pilates training for either 60 minutes or 30 minutes if that is the method you would like to use for your workouts. I have Pilates reformer, which is a resistance training machine that uses springs for resistance. This machine is excellent if you are recovering from an injury as it provides a gentle yet challenging workout.
