Heather is a Registered Kinesiologist who works as personal fitness trainer in Guelph and she is here to help!

Heather offers in person and/or online training, motivating you to move your body to improve your health and guides you with exercise instruction to maintain consistency so you stay healthy!

As Heather is a Regulated Health Professional, she is able to continue to see clients in person at her studio.

Services may be covered by your insurance company if your doctor has prescribed movement to aid recovery from physical injury, chronic illness or mental health challenges.

Simply Fit Personal Training and Pilates is an independently owned and operated private studio, providing private one on one sessions in person or online.

My name is Heather and I am here to help. My mission for Simply Fit is to offer a non-intimidating experience. I provide safe, personalized, enjoyable exercise prescriptions to motivate you to achieve a healthy, positive lifestyle. Sessions can be private, semi-private, or in a small group in person or online.

Your health and well-being are your most important assets. My twenty years of experience in the fitness industry, along with a B.Sc. in Human Kinetics, and many continuing education courses, will guide you to optimum health and achieved fitness goals. I am dedicated to offering exceptional service by being empathetic and realistic. I am committed to guiding you to balance your life and enhance your longevity and happiness.

Contact Heather to book a time for a complimentary consultation. This can be done in person, online or on the phone. We will discuss your health history, expectations/goals and from there Heather will explain how she can help.


Option 1

The Simply Get Fit Program! You decide that you would like individual (or partner) training sessions. These sessions are face to face and can be done in person or online for either 60 min or 30 min. The first session is comprised of a fitness assessment. Heather then takes that information to plan the fitness journey. The plan may change as life changes. Not only do our bodies need to be flexible, our fitness plans need to be too. Depending on your goals, you may want to sign up for Heather’s fitness app to have a home program to follow in addition to your scheduled workout sessions. We start with a consultation, determine what is best for you, book the assessment and then start your fitness journey.


Option 2

Simply Fit in 8 weeks! This is a 8 weight online program that is for people looking for help with motivation and organizing their health habits, fitness plan and nutrition choices. Heather does a fitness assessment, either in person or online and then plans your health and fitness journey. The program is uploaded to a fitness app for you to follow on your schedule. There will be daily reminders to focus on your health habits, do your workouts and track your nutrition.  Get personalized workouts, menu plans, feedback, and motivating check-ins from Heather. Workouts have videos to follow, delivered to your device and you do them when and where you want. Eight weeks of focused fitness!

Optional in person or online appointments are available if you feel need more guidance. Once you purchase, you will get an email with instructions on how to download the app and how to get started. Heather will contact you to book fitness assessment once you have purchased the Simply Get Fit in 8 weeks program.

No Equipment? No problem!

Personal training can be private in studio or online. I offer one on one sessions or you could exercise with a friend or spouse. Online, we would connect using Google Meet, Zoom, or FaceTime, whatever works for you. It all starts with a complimentary chat. From there we book a time to do a detailed evaluation of your health and fitness, which leads to the design of an individual program to suit your needs and meet your goals. 

 
 

 Kinesiology

Kinesiology is the study of human movements, performance and function by applying the sciences of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, psychology and neuroscience. In Ontario, kinesiologists are a registered profession abiding by strict regulations and ethics to protect the public and ensure excellent professional practice. They use evidence-based research to develop programs for people to improve function, health and wellness. Kinesiologists are recognized experts in preventing and managing injury, chronic disease, help people to perform at their optimum level and reach peak physical performance. I have been practicing as a clinical Kinesiologist since 2004, and have been a registered with the College of Kinesiologists since it’s inception in 2013. In every program design that I create, I use the practice of Kinesiology. Kinesiology services may be covered by your 3rd party insurance, check with your provider.

Pilates

Do you want to feel longer, stronger and more connected with your body? The Pilates method of conditioning is the perfect complement to your fitness regime and/or rehabilitation program. Pilates exercise is a safe and highly effective way to stretch, strengthen and streamline your body without stressing your joints. The benefits for both men and women include increased abdominal and back strength, improved posture and body mechanics, reduced joint and low back stress, increased flexibility and balanced joint positions with regards to strength and flexibility. With an emphasis on breath, core conditioning and body awareness, Pilates exercises will leave you looking toned, feeling revitalized and moving with ease.

I use the principles of Pilates in almost every Simply Get Fit program design. Sessions can be exclusively Pilates training for either 60 minutes or 30 minutes if that is the method you would like to use for your workouts. I have Pilates reformer, which is a resistance training machine that uses springs for resistance. This machine is excellent if you are recovering from an injury as it provides a gentle yet challenging workout.
